Last night I had the pleasure of shooting with Mike Azria. The talented Natalie Malchev did make-up & Angela Solouki was the stylist. We did about 6 looks, all inspired by seventies. Can't wait to see the final edits. Here are a few behind the scene photo's I took to share with you.

You don't appreciate having a car until you are carless in Los Angeles & getting around with the many weirdos of Uber. I swear I always get the weirdest Uber drivers. They always have a broken radio, want to tell me their life story & drive like a grandma. About a week ago while I was sleeping, someone smashed into my car. I'm guessing it was a drunk driver because it happened early in the morning & they obviously didn't leave a note. They hit my car so hard that it actually moved & the other side got all messed up from hitting the curb. The axel broke & my front two tires completely came off. Supposed to get my car back today, so fingers crossed! Hoping the damage wasn't too severe. My sleep schedule has decided to take on a whole new schedule.. I usually sleep in till around 8 or 9… but for some reason I can't stop waking up at 6… the sun isn't even up at 6! I don't know why my body feels the need to be up this early but I must say, I do get a lot done in the morning. Have a busy day ahead. Meeting with a lawyer at 11:00, stop by bank, laser hair removal 4:00 & a photo shoot at 6:30.. I'm excited for my shoot tonight! The theme is seventies boho glam.. Jumpsuits & glitter boots.. yes please!

House of DVF - Update Episode Three

Last night episode three of House of DVF aired on E Entertainment. The episode started with Cat & Leigh still in Paris, trying to get along & get their work done. Cat got asked to meet Diane after the Dior show in her car. Cat called me before & let me know how she was nervous. I would be nervous too! You never know if the reasoning is good or bad behind why Diane wants to see you. Since the other girls & I were in NYC, the girls decided to plan a fun night out. It was fun having some time off work & just getting to hang in a non-work environment. I enjoyed my red bull & left all my worries at home. Chantal is a really sweet friend & made sure I had a fun. One of the best parts of the program is the friendships I am getting to build. The next day at the office, Cat & Leigh returned from Paris & we got to present our design project. For my design I decided to do a jumpsuit, since jumpsuits are my favorite thing to wear. My cousin Kiah helped me sketch out my designs because I am terrible at sketching!! Diane & Michael liked my design & got me excited to move forward with my piece. Cree presented the "torch of freedom" dress.. Even though the design was ridiculous, it definitely made a statement. Since Diane's least favorite designs were Maytee's & Ali's, she invited them to the CFDA awards to get to know them better & see them in a different setting. While they were at the CFDA awards, Chantal, Leigh & I had some girl time & hit the gym! Leigh seemed to only have one thing on her mind at the gym, sex! Every piece of equipment reminded her of something sexual, she was cracking me up! Love that girl. At the end of the episode, Diane sent Maytee home. It is now down to 6 of us! Tune in next Sunday to see what happens next & follow me on twitter to live tweet with me during the episode!

Currently lounging, while watching The Temptations movie.. waiting for my spray tan to dry. This was the second spray tan I have ever gotten. It was nice having a girl come to my home & spray me in my bedroom.. made the whole experience super enjoyable. At around 3 a.m. my boyfriend, his band & I are heading to San Francisco for a reggae festival he is performing at. I'm excited for a little road trip this weekend! Will be nice to avoid some of this weather! On Sunday a new episode of House of DVF is airing on E at 10:00! Los Angeles is melting. Dizzy from the heat, you can't drink enough water to stay hydrated. Waking up every morning wishing for a day of cool breeze & clouds, instead we are stuck in this heat wave that just doesn't seem to go away. Constant exhaustion for the sun absorbing every drop of our energy. Summer never dies in this town.

House of DVF - Update Episode Two

Last night was full of drama, tears, a trip to Paris & an exciting new project. The episode started with us Los Angeles babes arriving to NYC to start the program & meet the other candidates. When we first got to the office we got to learn about the brand & what we have to look forward to if we become the next brand ambassador. Our first assignment was to create a magazine page layout that represented us as well as the DVF woman. While working on our projects I got a little emotional & decided to open up to the girls. It's hard going through anything in life, especially when you are newly sober, but having their support & love meant the world to me. I was a little surprised at Cat's comment about me getting upset when Jessica was chatting with us the next day. OK.. maybe I am a bit sensitive, but it's not like we were in a work meeting & Jessica wants to know us on a personal level. Back to the project.. I am not the most crafty girl & I think it showed with my project. Leopard print, lollipops.. I went all out.. One of the scenes you didn't get to see was when I presented my board Michael grabbed a lollipop off it & ate it.. It was classic. I said it was an interactive piece.. ha ha! Wish they had kept that in. I also said my board was like if pee wee's playhouse was a magazine.. Anyways.. Diane picked Leigh & Cat to go to Paris.. I was actually not mad about staying behind because I was excited to learn about the design project & start work with Michael. Maytee, Chantal & I went to an amazing vintage shop to gather inspiration. I didn't really get inspired for my piece but I did fall in love with the leopard hat I was wearing & tried to make them sell it to me.. they didn't. I had fun live tweeting with all of you east coasters last night! be sure to tune in next Sunday for another brand new episode..

House of DVF - Update Episode One

First off, I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who tuned in for the season premier of House of DVF last weekend on the E Network! I am so happy to be apart of the 7 women in the program. Even though Diane thought I might be a bit of trouble from watching my casting video, she selected me to be apart of the program. During the first episode we get to put looks together for Rachel Zoe to wear to the Vanity Fair party. I decided to go with a  beautiful black sequin vintage DVF dress. Even though it was a bit big, I still made it work. In the end, Rachel ended up loving my look & picked it for her event. I may come off as trouble, but I definitely know a thing or two about fashion.. ha ha! In our final critiques Diane asks me if I always wear dark lipstick.. I do love rocking dark lipstick, but I actually prefer wearing nude most of the time. For everyone who asked, the dark shade of lipstick I was wearing was Train Bleu by NARS. Tonight I will be doing a live tweet session during the east coast airing of episode two! So come chat with me.. Send me your comments & questions! More to come..

A Week In Paris

My trip started with two plane rides & being greeted with kisses in Paris. I hadn't seen my boyfriend in almost two weeks, so I was very happy to be in his arms again. Everything just feels right when we're together. After dropping our bags, we headed to his favorite restaurant Café De Flore for french onion soup & carpaccio. Within ten minutes at the restaurant my purse had been stolen, not the best way to start your trip. Luckily, I had left my passport in my suitcase. I was devastated. If it wasn't for my boyfriend, I would've let that incident ruin my trip. I chose to rise above & move forward… it's just a bag anyways. I have to mention that the crime rate is high in Paris at the moment & that Cafè De Flore is a beautiful establishment. To make sure we didn't end our meal with them on a bad note, we came back a few days later & redid our lunch.. just minus the robbing bit. The next day we walked all around Paris & visited two of their big department stores. My boyfriend got me the most beautiful blue Balenciaga bag. I feel so lucky to have someone in my life who genuinely cares about me & my feelings. I have never received love like this from anyone & it is truly an amazing feeling. He brings me so much happiness & teaches me how to grow into a better woman day by day. Once we were done shopping, we headed to the Eiffel Tower to watch it sparkle under the moonlight. Paris is beautiful, especially at night. Besides eating tons of amazing food, we also went to Moulin Rouge & visited Jim Morrison at Père Lachaise Cemetery. One of my favorite restaurants we went to was Le Relais de l'Entrecôte, they only serve steak & fries, it's fantastic! I also fell in love with any dessert that was pink & topped with raspberries, I could live off the sweets here! Today is our last day in Paris. This trip has been amazing & just what I needed! I always feel recharged & inspired after a vacation, especially after one in another country. Au revoir! Next stop Los Angeles.

"She thinks she missed the train to mars, she's out back counting stars"

4:18 a.m. I should be asleep but I am wide awake, watching cartoons & drinking hot tea. Today I shot the fall collection for Black Scale at SmashBox studios in Culver City. I spent my night working on my book & relaxing in a big bubble bath jacuzzi. Life is good. This coming week I have so many things to look forward to. The television show House of DVF premiers, I have two very important meetings, i'm filming new beauty segments for Popular TV & I'm flying to Paris to meet my boyfriend. I can't wait to truly experience Paris. I have been once before but it was a brief 24 hour trip. I love traveling to other countries & getting to take in the different culture. My creativity is more alive at night. While everyone is asleep I can embrace the silence & be inspired. It feels amazing to be writing again. I felt like I hadn't done much writing this year & had forgotten what an important outlet it was for me. Saying goodbye to summer, while fall is right around the corner. I'm ready for the cool breeze & oversized sweaters. As our tans begin to fade, we spend the last few months of the year living to our full potential. Did we accomplish our goals? Did we make 2015 the best year it could've been? 2015 has been kind to me. I am exactly where I want to be & who I want to be.
